
Dr. Steven Garrett, after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry with a residency in Orthodontics, opened his practice in 1979 in Winchester, VA. Currently he has offices in Winchester, Stephens City, and Front Royal, VA. Dr. Garrett along with his expert staff is committed to providing state-of-the-art care to his patients with a personal touch. Dr. Garrett believes that this commitment should be evident from the first phone call the patient or parent makes to his office until the last appointment when braces or appliances are removed.
Dr. Garrett proudly served as the President of the Southern Association of Orthodontists. Founded in 1921, the SAO has approximately 1800 members and is the second largest of the regional (constituent) associations in the American Association of Orthodontists. Included in its geographic area are the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virgina and West Virginia. He is a distinguished past president of the Virginia Association of Orthodontics, and Medical College of Virginia Orthodontic Foundation for Education and Research. Dr Garrett is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Garrett was conferred Fellowship in the American College of Dentists. The college was founded in 1920 and promotes the highest ideals in healthcare.
Dr. Garrett also serves as Chairman on the Boy Scout Eagle Board and as a black belt in kenpo karate teaches martial arts two nights a week. He and his wife Susie have three children and are members of the First Presbyterian Church in Winchester. |
