What Is Invisalign® First?

Invisalign® First is a revolutionary new way to bring the advanced technology and benefits of clear aligners to patients in need of early interceptive treatment or Phase 1 orthodontic treatment. The primary focus of early interceptive treatment is to expand the upper arch in order to make room for all of the permanent teeth.

Invisalign® First fully accommodates the growing needs of children while targeting upper arch expansion. We are excited to offer Invisalign® First as a comfortable and removable alternative to conventional palate expanders.

1st.

Invisalign® First works by expanding and contouring your child’s jawline by expanding the upper arch. Dental arch expansion involves moving your child’s teeth over time to increase the width of their dental arch. As an authorized Invisalign® orthodontist, Dr. Garrett will evaluate your child’s orthodontic needs and determine if Invisalign® First will be an option.

Your child will receive a customized set of aligners made specifically for them. Depending on your child’s needs, he or she may require a pair of aligners or just one aligner. Certain teeth may require attachments to be placed on their surface. Attachments will help direct pressure from the retainer device to the necessary teeth.
